This is where we recognise the achievements and efforts of our members involved in fundraising, IRB competitions, partols, Nippers, and other aspects of our club. The Presentation of Awards will be followed by a two-course meal.  The cost of the evening, including the two-course meal, is only $5 per person. Buy your own drinks at bar prices. Green Patrol is designed to highlight the strong connection between the waterways we patrol as lifesavers and the importance of looking after the environment for future generations. Cleaning up, connecting with local partners, educating, raising environmental awareness around sustainability, understanding, and protecting the ecosystem in which we live, work and play.  This event coincides with Clean Up Australia Day on the first Sunday in March.

Pink Patrol is a celebration of the contribution of girls and women in shaping the lifesaving movement and in doing so, make the opportunities and pathways in lifesaving more visible. This initiative acknowledges and celebrates the many contributions women past and present have played in lifesaving. This positive role modelling will inspire and empower future generations of women and girls to confidently pursue opportunities in lifesaving and aquatics. Pink Patrol consists of active women identifying patrolling members and champions, celebrating the contribution of girls and women to lifesaving through a designated patrol at your club. 

Pride Patrol (Rainbow Patrol) is an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge our LGBTQIA+ communities, to engage, educate, and encourage action. LSV is a proud ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and encourages everyone to be authentic while participating in lifesaving and enjoying our waterways.  During Pride Patrol and every day, it’s important that we embrace and celebrate our differences and show in words and actions that everyone is welcome in lifesaving.  

Wonthaggi Life Saving Club is a family-based volunteer organisation that has been providing an aquatic rescue service to the Cape Paterson Bay Beach and surrounding community for 85 years. Our lifesavers complete patrols, run school education programs, and participate in lifesaving competitions If you have a child between 5 and 13 (at midnight on 30/09/2023) that enjoys the beach and is keen to learn new skills, then our Nipper program is a great way for them to do that. The vision for our Nipper Program is to provide a safe and friendly environment where both nippers and parents can learn and enhance their knowledge about surf life saving and water safety.  The main aims of the nipper program is to: Develop surf awareness Increase confidence and skills in beach relatedactivities Offer training to those wanting to pursue competitionor awards Instil and re-enforce sun smart philosophies Encourage enjoyable and healthy participation Progress members towards surf rescue awards  Promote a positive non-threatening environment Meet new friends Come and join us and have some fun for more information please feel free to contact us at junior.activities@wlsc.org.au 

HOY is like BINGO with cards but to win a player needs to match all of their playing cards to the cards the dealer turns over.  Our HOY events are a hit for family nights down in our club hall with novelty and door prizes and all for the cost of $5 For 2 hours of entertainment.
