Age Groups

Our program caters to children from ages 5 to 13, with age groups ranging from the Under 6 to Under 13. The age is determined based on their age as of September 30th, 2024.

What we do at Nippers.

Nippers is designed to ensure children have fun at the beach while participating in lessons and activities that have been designed to progressively develop the essential skills of nippers as they move through each age group. The emphasis is on fun and education, regardless of development and learning abilities. The lessons are presented in an easy-to-follow manner, by trained volunteers, known as Age Managers.

Safety is Our Priority

We maintain a strong focus on safety, requiring water safety supervision (1 Bronze Medallion holder for every 10 nippers). We also adhere to child protection policies, including Working With Children Checks (WWCC) for all volunteers.

Parent Involvement

To ensure a successful program, we encourage at least one parent per family to become an Age Manager. Training and support are provided, making it a great opportunity to actively participate with your child. Parents don’t require a lifesaving background to be an Age Manager.

If becoming an Age Manager is not for you, there are plenty of other tasks that need completing. You can help with beach set up, pack up, or even cooking the club BBQ.
